Comments from Coach Matt Nielson following both matches. “Against Williston, we thought we would have excellent matches with our line-up. Abby M, Kailee, and Georgia had other ideas as all three cruised to wins dropping just 7 games combined. We also tried new people together for doubles. Breck and Abby R. played very well together with Abby raising her game substantially to be a force at the net. In the second doubles, Olivia was feeling pain in her arm so we retired from that match to get medical attention. Health is more important than a tennis match. We beat Williston 4-1.
In the second match, we kept Olivia, our #2, out of the line-up as a precaution. As Breck and Abby R played so well against Williston, we kept them together at #1 against Wahp. We pulled Kailee up with Abby M at #2 and then had Georgia and Alyssa together at #3. All three doubles teams were new together today and rocked it. They won all 6 sets dropping at most 2 games in a set! Nice work navigating a new situation successfully.”
