CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Carrington Cardinals Girls Fast pitch Softball team are in their inaugural season this year and picked up their first win of the season and first program win ever on Tuesday against the Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich Cardinals at Mayville State University. Carrington defeated LAEM 23-20 for the Region 2 victory, Carrington is now 1-2 overall so far this season. Their two losses are to Grafton also on Tuesday and MayPort April 28th. Of course like every other spring sports team this spring across North Dakota, numerous games for Carrington have been either postponed or cancelled because of snow and cold, but the Cardinals are trying to get as many games in before the Region 2 tourney starts Saturday, May 21st in Mayville.

Next up for Carrington will be Dakota Prairie in McVille on Friday at 430pm for another Region 2 game.
