OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Carrington Cardinals Track and Field team traveled to Oakes on Monday, May 2nd. The Girls took home first place and the boys finished in second place. State Qualifiers for Carrington were Ryder Bickett in the Javelin (163’2), Madison Johnson in the 800 meter (2:25.81) and in the 4 x 800 meter relay with runners Edyn Hoornaert, Kenadie Pazdernik, Kacie Rexin, Madison Johnson (10:08.16). Coach Greg Hoeckle said that it was good performances by the track teams in 39 degree weather!
Also on Saturday, April 28th, the Cardinals traveled to Bismarck for the Snow Snow Go Away Track Meet at Shiloh High School, the girls took second and the boys finished third. Boys State qualifier was Kael Kovar in the Pole Vault (12-03.00). Girls State Qualifiers were Mercedes Lura in the Pole Vault (9-00.00), Kylie Skadberg in Pole Vault (9-00.00), and Madison Johnson in the 1600 meters (5:28.97).
Next up for Carrington will be on Saturday, May 7th in Carrington starting at 11am.
