2021-county-commission

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission approved the hire County Road Superintendent Mickey Nenow’s replacement Tuesday evening.

Earlier this year, Nenow made it known he would be retiring at the end of May. An internal hiring process was conducted with four candidates interviewed.

Human Resource Director Shannon Larson explained the process.

Larson says Jim will be working with Nenow to learn the position before he fully retires. The county will now be tasked in hiring for a County Road Foreman.

The county unanimously approved the hire.

The County also heard from Dena Kemmet, NDSU Extension Central District Director to gain approval to advertise for an ANR Agent Position.

She says this was vacated with NDSU Extension Agent Alicia Harstad left to work for the Barnes County Extension Service.

Kemmet says prior agreements have been with the Extension Service to fill that position in the county.

The commission unanimously approved the move to advertise for an agent.
