JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – It was a crazy night for Blue Jay Athletics on Tuesday as Jamestown hosted five different varsity events.
BASEBALL: G1: JAMESTOWN 6, DICKINSON 1 | G2: DICKINSON 2, JAMESTOWN 1
The Blue Jay baseball team grabbed a huge win in game one and ended up splitting the doubleheader with Dickinson at Jack Brown Stadium. Jamestown now sits with a 3-3 overall record and a 3-3 mark in the West Region. The Blue Jays travel to Legacy next Tuesday for a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 PM.

The Blue Jay boys track and field team won the triangular in their first home meet since 2017. First place finishes for Jamestown are as follows.

Jamestown’s girls came up just short of their competition out of the EDC while dominating St. Mary’s for a second place finish as a team.

Phoebe Olson won her #1 singles match on Tuesday night at home but the Jays just didn’t have enough to knock off Century. Jamestown is now 0-4 as a team on the year and will host St. Mary’s on Thursday starting at 4:15 PM.

GIRL’S SOCCER: MANDAN 2, JAMESTOWN 0
A pair of goals by the Braves in the first half helped Mandan knock off Jamestown at the Starion Sports Complex. Goalie Olivia Sorlie made 10 total saves, including a scoreless sheet in the second half. The Jays are now 1-4-0 on the season and will host St. Mary’s on Friday night at 7:30 PM. The Blue Jays’ match against St. Mary’s is just their second home match of the year.
