NORFOLK, Neb.– The University of Jamestown women’s golf team is tied for fifth after the third round of the GPAC Championship. The final 36 holes of the tournament are being played at the Norfolk Country Club.

Jamestown is tied with Dordt (Iowa) at 199-over (342-348-373), eight shots behind fourth place Mount Marty (S.D.) University.

Izzy Marchino (SR/Highlands Ranch, Colo.) is tied for 11th at 44-over 260 (82-88-90), Jayme Carlson (JR/Hartford, S.D.) is 16th at 48-over 264 (86-85-93), Kyra Vogel (FR/Jamestown, N.D.) is tied for 24th at 53-over 269 (87-90-92), and Faith Justesen (SO/Hawley, Minn.) is 36th at 63-over 279 (87-92-100). Coley Olson (SO/Cook, Minn.) shot a 98 Monday in her first round of the tournament.

“It was a tough day out there,” said UJ head coach Zach Hale. “First time teeing it up in 22 days unfortunately and battling the wind and it showed. We will regroup tonight and look to end the season on a strong note tomorrow.”

The tournament’s final round begins Tuesday at 10 a.m.
