JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown City Engineer Travis Dillman says the MGM trailer court in east Jamestown is having water issues.

Dillman informed the Public Works committee that this is the second time in his position that there have been these reports, but there could be more.

Dillman says if they had the committee’s approval, they could move forward with a hydraulic analysis to address the water issues in the trailer park.

The city would need to work with the Jamestown Parks & Recreation District and BNSF railway in order to better address. After 24 hours of water inundation, the water does dissipate. But the aftermath of that causes some headaches.

Dillman says a hydraulic analysis would give him and his department an idea on what steps can be taken to remedy the issue.

Once the study is completed, Dillman says they would bring the results and possible recommendations for the city to approve.

The committee unanimously approved to have the city council consider approval of up to $3,000 to conduct a hydraulic study of the MGM Trailer Courts.
