The homepage for a new site featuring digital copies of area newspapers from the past in Foster County
CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Carrington City Library in conjunction with the Foster County Historic Society, has started a digitization project of local newspapers and is uploading them for the public’s access.
Library Director Michelle Seil says it’s a work in progress at this time.
She added the website is also including other Foster County communities to it’s online database.
Seil says it’ll be accessible to viewers to browse through pages as well, but is designed for more history research.
To gain access, Seil says they’re holding a demonstration on Tuesday, April 19th at 10 AM at the library to learn more about the database and show how it works. She says anyone can also stop in to learn how to use the website.
Pictures and other documents will also be uploaded to be accessible.
You can find the new database of newspapers here
