JAMESTOWN, N.D. (GPHA) – Basics aren’t basic. They’re essential.
South Central Homeless Coalition is hosting a diaper drive for Region 6 April 15- May 30.
All funds and diapers/wipes donated benefit the children of North Dakota.
“The coalition is accepting donations of the supplies themselves or monetary donations to purchase these items,” GPHA Deputy Director Cassie DuBray reports. “With regional participation, items and dollars donated at the collection sites will be able to stay in those communities within our region.”
Region 6 is comprised of the following counties: Barnes, Dickey, Foster, Griggs, LaMoure, Logan, McIntosh, Stutsman, and Wells counties.
At the last drive in 2018, over $5,300 in donations from the drive was awarded to sites all around Region VI including Salvation Army and Region VI Community Action in Stutsman County, Gackle Area Food Pantry, and county Social Services offices in Logan, LaMoure, Barnes, Dickey and Foster/Eddy/Wells.
The goal this year is to raise at least $5,000.
“Please help us WIPE OUT area diaper need in 2022 by donating diapers and wipes or funds to purchase them,” DuBray added.
