VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCSUAthletics.com) – Valley City State men’s golfer Rory Gentzkow has been named the North Star Athletic Association’s Men’s Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Allison Temple of Bellevue (Neb.) was chosen as the Women’s Golfer of the Week.

NSAA Men’s Golfer of the Week
Rory Gentzkow – Valley City State (N.D.) – Sophomore – LaMoure, N.D. – Gentzkow carded his best 36-hole tournament score and was the top NAIA place finisher at the Dickinson State Spring Invitational (6,734 yards, par-72) for Valley City State (N.D.).  He recorded a first-round score of 74 (2-over-par) and carded a 72 (even-par) in the final round, finishing fourth overall with 146 strokes (2-over-par).

NSAA Women’s Golfer of the Week
Allison Temple – Bellevue (Neb.) – Senior – Norfolk, Neb. – Temple finished in a tie for second place in the Concordia (Neb.) Invitational (5,820 yards, par-72).  She recorded 5-over-par 77 in the tournament, helping the Bruins to a second-place finish as a team with 325 total strokes.

Looking Ahead (Men’s/Women’s)
Bellevue (Neb.) women’s golf team concludes their regular-season schedule on the second day of the Susie Maxwell Invitational in Oklahoma City Tuesday (today).  The men’s team plays its final regular-season tournament on Friday and Saturday in the Battle of Waterloo in Waterloo, Iowa.

Waldorf (Iowa) women’s and men’s golf teams compete in the Trojan Invitational held in Mason City, Iowa on Monday.
