JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown Tourism committee recently met to listen to grant requests and distribute funds accordingly.

Jamestown Tourism Executive Director Searle Swedlund says their City Promotional and Capital Construction Fund meets twice a year.

Swedlund says funding was awarded to Jamestown Parks & Recreation for their proposed outdoor courts project.

Other funds were approved for Frontier Village improvements.

The other grant application considered was for the National Buffalo Museum and their upcoming renovations.

In other tourism information, Swedlund says they’re beginning to turn their eyes to summer and the many different tourism opportunities and events the city and area will have to offer.

He added this includes further developing their video footage and digital advertisement.
