JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone serves both Barnes & Stutsman counties to help people find stability including basic needs such as food and shelter to counseling.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and in recognition, the local service is hosting a donation drive for families working with this social service agency. in 2021, there were 16,907 reports of child abuse in the state with 1,349 children found to be victims of child abuse or neglect.
Carrie Anderson works with Child Protection Services through the Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone. She says through April 15th and beyond, they’re accepting donations of diapers, wipes, and formula to help assist families in the area.
Donations that are made will then be stored on shelves and distributed to those who need them.
Donations can be dropped off at Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone at 116 1st Street E in Jamestown or 230 4th Street NW Room 102 in Valley City. Donations will help a family in need and help prevent neglect and abuse for children in our community.
