MONTPELIER, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of a high risk sex offender changing his address to Stutsman County.

36 year-old Joshua Steven Buhr is a 5’6″ male with brown eye and no hair. He has changed his address to 7940 53rd Street SE in Montpelier, ND.

Buhr was convicted in 2012 when he locked himself in the bedroom with the 8 year old victim and pushed her to the ground with his hands around her neck, pulled her pants down and touched her vaginal area. He was convicted in Cass County.

Buhr is not wanted by police at this time. This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders or their families, landlords or employers will be turned over for prosecution.
