JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown speech had a successful day in Carrington on March 5 competing against 14 class A and B schools, winning the tournament and qualifying 10 events for state: Maddy Orr in radio broadcasting, Olivia Schriock in poetry, Pete Weinzierl in speech to entertain, Emma Wiley in speech to inform, Ross Motter in serious prose and humorous interp., Will Nelson in extemporaneous speaking and impromptu, and Matthew Motschenbacher in storytelling and speech to persuade.

On March 26, the JHS speech team hosted a ‘Grand Finale” meet at Jamestown High School where 11 class A and B schools attended.
JHS finished the day with 7 state qualifiers: Paris Eslick in storytelling, Maddy Orr in both radio broadcasting and speech to inform, Olivia Schriock in humorous interpretation, Anja McDermid in serious prose, Will Nelson in extemporaneous speaking, and Matthew Motschenbacher in speech to persuade.
