JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A sea of green made their way down the hill for the 44th Annual Runnin O’ The Green on Saturday, March 19th.
An event that started in 1979, it has since raised thousands of dollars for Elks Camp Grassick and local cancer patients. Run co-founder Larry “Knobby” Knoblich says numbers have been down in previous years.
While the cause for the run is established, Knoblich says it’s also a boon for the community’s economy.
Final numbers aren’t known yet, but run organizers have said the crowd kept “growing and growing.” as different heats of runners and walkers attempted the hill.
