VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota State Board of Career and Technical Education (CTE) awarded funding from their Capital Projects Fund to several school district on March 15th.

One of those was the Sheyenne Valley Area Career and Technology Center (SVACTC) in Valley City who received a $3.1 million dollar grant requiring a dollar-for-dollar local match according to Director Derrick Bopp.

Bopp said the school board is exploring three options associated with this grant.

Superintendent Josh Johnson thanked the district 24 legislators for their efforts in securing this grant that will benefit several area school districts in the future.

Final approval of the CTE grant dollar-for-dollar local match options is pending with the Valley City and Sheyenne Valley Area Career and Technology Center school boards. The full interview with Derrick Bopp is below.
