VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The police and fire departments are raising money to support the North Dakota Autism Center and to raise awareness of autism in a unique way, just before World Autism Day on Saturday, April 2nd.

Police Chief Phil Hatcher asked the city and the community to support their effort by purchasing a police or fire department patch with an autism spectrum background for $10. He said they are available at Valley City hall, police or fire departments.

Hatcher hopes to one day, bring a program that will benefit people with autism in Valley City and the surrounding area. The full interview is below.
