JAMESTOWN, N.D. (National Buffalo Museum) – The National Buffalo Museum has announced the installation of a new interactive feature as part of the museum’s exhibits.

On Friday March 11th, the museum will unveil an interactive digital matching game that lets visitors test their knowledge about Indigenous People’s use of bison in the past. The Bullock Texas State History Museum created the game and licensed it to the National Buffalo Museum.

The game features beautifully illustrated images and animations by artist Diana Marques, and explores uses of bison hides, meat, bones, and organs.

“This new exhibit element not only brings more interactivity to our gallery spaces, it also is a great bridge connecting our recently acquired bison organ puzzle to the historic indigenous made pieces on display in that gallery,” National Buffalo Museum Executive Director Ilana Xinos said.

“Exploring the anatomy of bison and connecting that to practical uses of the animal deepens visitors’ appreciation for the animal,” Xinos added.
