ice-houses

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Anglers are being reminded of the deadline to remove ice houses is March 15th.

Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier says while the deadline remains, it’s important to check now and ensure your ice house is accessible.

Anglers are advised to use caution while accessing area lakes. Ice conditions can vary from region to region, between lakes in the same region, and even on the same lake

Leier says numbers have also been reported on the 2021 Bighorn Sheep, Moose, and Elk Harvests.

The department issued 470 moose licenses last year. Of that total, 448 hunters harvested 405 animals – 163 bulls and 242 cows/calves

The Game & Fish Department also reminds hunters of the Spring Turkey tags available starting March 16th. For more information, visit gf.nd.gov.
