DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The final day of the 2022 District 7 Boys Basketball tournament was held at the Devils Lake Sports Center on Monday with three games, here are the results:

Lakota 54  New Rockford/Sheyenne 53

In a wild game featuring 13 lead changes and seven ties, the Raiders Jaxon Baumgarn hit a three with :21 seconds left in the game to put his team up 54-53 and hold on to get the victory and advance to the Region 4 tourney next week Monday in Devils Lake. After both teams would turn the ball over after the three pointer by the Raiders, the Rockets would get the ball back with four seconds left, but were unable to hit the bucket for the win. NRS ends their season at 5-15 overall, Lakota improves to 14-8 overall.

Warwick 78  Dakota Prairie 64

Warwick, the sixth seed  in the tournament, upsets the fourth seeded Knights of Dakota Prairie and will advance to the Region 4 tournament on Monday in Devils Lake. The Knights led by three 35-32 at the break, but the Warriors came out hot in the third quarter and took the lead 57-49 and kept the lead in the fourth. Warwick had six players in double figures, Freshman Dwight Hunt had 23 points, including four 3-pointers. Mark Fassett Jr. added 13, Dorvan Mckay Jr. had 11, Marcus Joramo 11, Jason Lenoir 10 and Cayden Feather 10. Warwick improves to 10-11 overall, DP drops to 8-12 overall and ends their season. In the third quarter, Senior Cade Stein scored his 1,000th point at the free throw line, he ended with 23 points, including three 3-pointers.

No. 1 (#1) Four Winds/Minnewaukan 69  (RV) Harvey/Wells County 43

The Indians of Four Winds/Minnewaukan win their 10th consecutive District 7 championship Monday night as they defeat the Hornets of Harvey/Wells County in the last game ever of the District 7 tourney, as Region 4 will be going to the Super Region format next season. The Indians never trailed, but the Hornets kept close for a little over three quarters. FWM was led by Senior Jayden Yankton with 23 points, HWC was led by Seniors Isaac Friese and Madden Thorson with 11 each. FWM remains perfect on the season and improve to 21-0 overall, HWC drops to 18-4 overall.
