VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Rural Fire District Firefighters responded to a structure fire in Barnes County around 6:48am Thursday, February 18th about 11 miles north of the Peak Road.

Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said no injuries were reported and the new structured received minor damage from the fire. He said an electrical malfunction caused bales nearby to ignite on fire.
