BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School girls basketball team bolstered its position in the WDA on Tuesday night with a 68-60 victory over Bismarck Legacy.

Hunter Petersen had a strong performance from the start for Jamestown as she put up a team-high 15 points in the win. The Blue Jays led by as many as 13 points in the second half to pull away late from the Sabres after leading 31-29 going into the break.

Annie Nabwe produced a double-double for the Jays, scoring 11 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Ella Falk also finished in double-digits, putting up 14 points, including eight in the second half.  Off the bench, Rylee Joseph had nine points, all coming in the second 18 minutes of play.

With the win, Jamestown moves to 10-8 overall on the year and 9-8 in the WDA. Legacy drops to 10-8 and 9-8, and the Jays hold the tiebreaker over the Sabers with their two wins against them. The Blue Jays are currently positioned as the #4 seed in the West Region.

Jamestown hits the road to take on Watford City on Saturday before rounding out the regular season at home next Tuesday against Mandan.
