FESSENDEN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Junior Tate Grossman dropped in 16 of his total 18 points in the second half,  including four 3-pointers as the Hornets of Harvey/Wells County defeat Carrington 61-48 in Class B Boys Basketball non-region action. HWC improves to 14-3 overall, the Cardinals drop to 8-10 overall.

Both teams came out cold in the first quarter, the Hornets were the first to score a field goal after four minutes of play. The Hornets never trailed, leading at one point in the game by 19. Lucas Hendrickson and Hudson Schmitz led the way for Carrington with 14 each. HWC hit eight 3-pointers.

Next up for Carrington will be on Thursday in Finley against MayPort/CG for another non-region game and their last regular season game of the year. The District 5 tournament will start on Friday, February 25th at the Jamestown Civic Center.
