LITCHVILLE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Patrons of the Litchville-Marion School District passed a school bond referendum on a $13-million project to build a new school in Marion, N.D.

Superintendent Tom Nitschke said 62 percent of the voters approved of the bond issue with a total of 426 ballots cast in the February 8th election. The bond issue received 265 yes votes and 161 no votes.

Nitschke said with the voter approval, a new K-12 school will be built in Marion and the Litchville school will be closed in the future.
