JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The District 5 Girls Basketball tournament featuring seven teams inside of Region 3 is set to begin Friday at 4:30 pm at the Jamestown Civic Center.

Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier is the #1 overall seed in District 5 and is currently ranked #9 in Class B. The Rebels went 6-0 against District competition during the regular season, earning a bye in the opening round of the tournament.

Games begin on Friday at 4:30 pm with #4 LaMoure-Litchville/Marion squaring off against #5 Griggs-Midkota. Then, at 6:00 pm, #2 Oakes faces #7 Barnes County North before day one concludes at 7:30 pm with #3 Carrington against #6 Ellendale. All games can be heard on Q101, newsdakota.com, and streaming live on the Q101 app.

Region qualifiers will take place on Monday, February 14th with the District 5 Championship game on the 14th at 7:30 pm.
