MARION, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Litchville-Marion School District will hold an election to vote up or down on a proposed $13-million building project for a new school in Marion.

Superintendent Tom Nitschke said if the bond issue passes with 60 percent approval, a new K-12 school would be built in Marion and the Litchville elementary school would close.

The Litchville-Marion School district bond election is set for February 8th Absentee voting is underway at the schools in Litchville and Marion. Anyone 18 years and older and living in the Litchville-Marion School District “46” may vote In Person at the Litchville School Building, 304 6th Ave, Litchville, or the Marion School Building, 104 2nd Street, Marion. Hours will be 10 am to 7 pm.

You must bring your North Dakota driver’s license, or permit, to prove residency. If you don’t have a driver’s license, you must present a current utility bill such as bank statement, electricity, water, or gas, etc, that shows proof of residency in the district.
