Carrington, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—–The Carrington boys basketball team picked up a big win over the Grafton Spoilers (receiving votes in the latest class B poll) 63-55. The Cardinals started hot outscoring the spoilers 21-10 in the first quarter. Senior Lucas Hendrickson aided the big first quarter with 12 of his game high 23 points. The Cards would lead 33-24 at the break. Grafton  would fight there way back in the third quarter going on a 14-0 run to end the quarter with 44-43 lead. Carrington had built there largest lead of the game at 43-30 prior to the Spoilers big run.

Freshmen Josh Bickett added 14 points for the Cards which included four 3-pointers. Grady Shipman added 9 points and Hudson Topp added 8 points (two 3-pointers) all in the second half. Tony Villareal paced the Spoiler offense with 20 points and Braylon Baldwin added 16 points (both sophomores). The Spoilers drop to 9-4 overall and Carrington improved to 6-7. Carrington hosts Thompson on  Saturday.
