VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Valley City baby who received severe head trauma after her father became frustrated by her crying is back home recovering from her injuries. The two month old infant may have suffered permanent injuries according to her doctors.
25-year-old Justin Neal Gibson of Valley City is facing a felony child abuse and aggravated assault of a child charges. Gibson remains in the Barnes County jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
Court documents say Barnes County deputies were called by Sanford Hospital in Fargo on January 22nd after an infant came in with what appeared to be extensive injuries from ‘non-accidental trauma’ according to doctors. Gibson faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
