CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Highway 200 remains closed and blocked after a semi jackknifed north of Carrington Tuesday.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) reports the semi is located about 7 miles east of Junction US 281. Details remain scarce, but a no travel advisory remains in effect due to Areas of Near Zero Visibility, Scattered Snow Drifts, Icy Roads, and Slippery Roads.

“If you can stay home today then do it,” Foster County Sheriff Justin Johnson states. “Hwy 200 is completely blocked just east of the Bordulac road. Our office has been from one accident to another since 6 pm last night without stop. Please stay off the highways.”
