FALLS, S.D. (NewsDakota.com) Funeral Services for former South Dakota Senator George McGovern will be held Friday at 1pm at Mary Sommervold Hall at the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science in Sioux Falls.

Public viewing will be 1pm to 6pm Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls. Prayer service at 6:30pm.

McGovern, who lost a 1972 presidential bid to Richard Nixon, died Sunday at a Sioux Falls hospice. He was 90.
