JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – It was all Jamestown in West Region boys hockey Thursday night at Wilson Arena as the Blue Jays hammered the Midgets 10-0.

Jamestown struck for four goals in the first, four in the second and two in the third.

Half of the Jays goals were scored on the power play as Jamestown outshot Dickinson on the night 40-21.

Senior Hunter Nelson scored his 9th and 10th goals of the season and added an assist, Senior Zack Lunde knocked in his fourth and fifth of the season, Sophomore Tyson Jorissen tallied his third and fourth, Senior Joe Cummings drilled his eighth, Junior Brooks Roaldson smacked in his eighth and added two assists, Senior Thomas Pfiefer netted his first of the season, and the states leading scorer, Junior Nolan Nenow blasted in his 20th and picked up his 20th assist.

Junior Conner McLachlan dished out four assists, Junior’s Max Mehus and Jarrett Zalumskis each had two helpers and Senior Goalie Brode Hillstrom came away with 21 saves.

Jamestown, 12-3, remains tied for first in the West Region with Minot, who defeated Mandan on Thursday night. The Blue Jays have won eight games in a row.

Next up for the Jays is a non-conference game with Fargo North on Friday night at 7:30pm at Wilson Arena.
