CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com ) Shopko held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday that officially wrapped up the store conversion process from the former Pamida store to Shopko Hometown in Valley City.
Shopko officials said, they are thrilled to be in Valley City and it’s been their philosophy to give back to the communities they operate stores in across the region.

Valley City School board members accepted a gift of $2,500 from Shopko Inc., that will benefit the Valley City Public School District.
Shopko President, Chairman and CEO Paul Jones, said earlier this month that “since our merger with Pamida this year, we’ve converted 45 Pamida stores to the Shopko Hometown format.”
Shopko was founded in 1962 and is headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Shopko Stores Operating Co., LLC is a retailer that operates almost 350 stores in 22 states.
