MADISON, S.D. (NorthStarAthleticAssociation.com) – The North Star Athletic Association announced its first edition of the Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week Tuesday.  Zachary Co of Valley City State (N.D.) was selected to the Field Athlete-of-the-Week.  SenQuavius Johnson of Dakota State (S.D.) was chosen as the Track Athlete-of-the-Week.

North Star Athletic Association Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Zachary Co – Valley City State (N.D.) – Senior – El Paso, Texas – Co earned a pair of national qualifying marks in the Mike Thorson Open for Valley City State (N.D.).  He hit the ‘A’ standard qualifying mark of 17.21 meters (56 feet, 5.75 inches) to win the shot put, his career-best toss.  His toss is also ranked second in the NAIA.  Co also played second in the weight throw with a ‘B’ standard throw of 16.65 meters (54 feet, 7.5 inches).

Looking Ahead

Valley City State (N.D.) travels to Moorhead, Minn. on Saturday for the Cobber Indoor Open, hosted by Concordia-Moorhead (Minn.).  Viterbo (Wis.) competes in Menomonie, Wis. on the same day for the Wisconsin-Stout Open.
