TAPPEN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 20 year-old Steele, N.D. man is dead after a rollover crash 8 miles east of Tappen Sunday morning.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that at 12:30 AM January 16th, a Ford F150 was traveling eastbound on I-94 when the driver lost control on scattered ice. The vehicle left the roadway and entered the gore area between the interstate and exit ramp.

The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its roof. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was fully ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. They were assisted by the Kidder County Sheriff’s Office and Kidder County Ambulance.
