OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Oakes Superintendent David Goetz stopped by the KDDR studio to discuss what was being talked about during this week’s school board meeting.

The board did not make a decision on the storm makeup day which is currently scheduled for April 19th. Nothing is set in stone yet, according to Goetz, and this topic will be discussed more down the road.

The 2022-2023 school calendar was approved and has been posted on the school’s website.

Athletic director Robin Paul has been officially named as the high school girl’s basketball C-squad coach. Goetz talked about what led to the decision.

The high school was unable to find a science teacher so instead they are moving forward with the Odysseyware program the school had purchased previously. High school principal Brandon Bata at the meeting said that things are going well with the program and that the students are enjoying it so far.

The full interview with Goetz can be found below.
