VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Rural Fire District responded to a vehicle fire about 6:30 this morning east of Valley City.

Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said crews were called to a rural residence. He said the owner of a 2007 Hyundai was attempting to jump start the car and noticed smoke coming from the dash, pulled the vehicle away from the house and the car burned.

Magnuson said no injuries were reported. The vehicle is a total loss.
