JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Valley Library System (JRVLS) will be hosting a “Food for Fines” food and toiletry drive January 11th through February 11th.
JRVLS Director Joe Rector says the program is very simple and is a way they can give back to the community.
Rector says even if you don’t have outstanding fines, you’re more than welcome to still participate and join them in the program.
The JRVLS adds that charges for lost or damaged items will not be forgiven, only overdue fines for materials that have been returned late will be forgiven.
All donations will be given to the local food pantries.
