JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners put up a good showing in the KC invite over the Weekend in Jamestown, however it was the host team who came away with the narrow victory over Valley City. The Hi-Liners finished with a score of 138.850.

Karina Olson lead the way in Vault average with a score of 9.3. Her teammate Abbey Thornton finished second with a score of 9.2

In the beam average, Haley Nelson of Jamestown came in first place with a score of 9.525. Abbey Thornton finished second with a score of 9.15.

In the floor average, we had a tie at the top. Valley City’s Karina Olson, and Jamestown’s Blair Arbuckle both with a score of 9.55. Abbey Thornton just missing the top spot with a score of 9.5, she finished second.

For the bars average. Haley Nelson of Jamestown once again finishes in the top spot with a score of 9.3. Karina Olson coming in second place with a score of 9.25.

In the all around scores, Jamestown with the winning score of 142.450, followed by a second place finish from Valley City at 138.850, third place goes to Mandan with a score of 128.625, and Minot in the final spot with a score of 97.900.

The Hi-Liners gymnastics team will return to action next Friday, January 14th. They will be hosting Wahpeton in a Varsity meet.
