JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – More than $50,000 have been spent locally through the Loyal to Local Passport Program.

Put on by the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce, the goal of the program was to track $100,000 or more in local spending at area businesses. Executive Director Emily Bivens says they’re excited by the amount of participation and positive impact the program has brought to the community.

The program launched after Thanksgiving, giving residents and visitors a chance to fill as many passports as possible from participating Chamber businesses and increase the economic impact over the holiday shopping period.

Bivens added they hope to return the program again during the Holiday season in 2022.

The final day the passports can be stamped is January 8th. Filled booklets are due to the Chamber of Commerce by January 12th. Their office is located at 120 2nd St SE or can be reached at 701-252-4830.
