BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – A brief second half lead for Jamestown on Thursday night against the #1 Bismarck Century Patriots couldn’t be sustained as the Blue Jays fell 63-52 on the road.

Century controlled much of the first half of play against Jamestown until the final six minutes when the Jays went on a 10-0 going into the break to trail by just one, 25-24. In the second half, Jamestown jumped out in front in the first three minutes to briefly go ahead 28-25 before the Patriots were able to regain the lead and stay undefeated on the year.

Jamestown was led in scoring by freshman Noah Meissner, who finished with 12 points and was a big catalyst in the 10-0 to end the first half. No other Blue Jay ended the game in double figures, but Ryan Larson had nine points and a team-high five rebounds. Devin Beach finished with eight points, and sophomores Cayden Cox and Dalton Lamp each had six. Anthony Doppler of Century was the leading scorer with 20.

The Blue Jays drop back to .500 on the year, now 3-3 overall and 2-3 in the WDA. Jamestown will have the next eight days off before returning to Jerry Meyer Arena next Friday night to take on Williston. Century improves to 7-0 on the season, and the Patriots are 6-0 in the WDA.
