CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – During their regular council meeting Monday, December 13th, the Carrington City Council finalized the approval of a new police chief.
Mayor Tom Erdmann says the council gave final approval to hire Brandon Sola as their next chief of the city police department.
In other city business, Erdmann says the council also approved the city employee salary adjustment to reflect a 6% increase.
Mayor Erdmann also reports the sales tax fund also continues its record pace for 2021, showing a strong economy in Carrington.
The city also moved to take back ownership of the rifle range, asking the public to clean up their targets, shells, and anything else they bring into the facility.
Erdmann says they’ve also approved the merger agreement for the Carrington City Chamber of Commerce, Carrington Economic Development, and Carrington Development Corporation.
