VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCSUAthletics.com) – Valley City State University senior defensive linemen Marshaun Jones and Garrett Pemelton have accepted invitations to play in the NAIA Senior Football Classic on Dec. 17 in Durham, N.C.
Both Jones and Pemelton will play for the NAIA West team, joining other top seniors from across the country in the NAIA’s official all-star game.
The NAIA Senior Football Classic is the premiere event leading into the NAIA Football National Championship. Kickoff for the Senior Classic is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern/6 p.m. Central at Durham County Memorial Stadium in Durham, N.C. on Friday, December 17.
Jones and Pemelton were both All-Conference players on VCSU’s defense that allowed just 12.9 points per game – third best in the nation. Jones was a First Team All-Conference selection after racking up 7.5 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss this season. Pemeltom finished with seven sacks from the defensive end position and was named 2nd Team All-Conference.
