VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Barnes County Girls Basketball tournament tips off on Tuesday, December 7th in the W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse.
The Sanborn Girls Basketball Team won it all in 1946. Jean Kronebusch Kihne was a Sophomore on the team. She talked about what it was like 75 years ago. She said back then they had a rule that guards could only move the ball so far and it was like three on three near the basket.
The great granddaughters of Jean Kronebusch Kihne, Elaine Hansen Hoffart and Ilah Mae Kronebusch Lettenmaier will be playing in the Barnes County Girls basketball tournament this week. All games will be aired on Q101.1 FM starting Tuesday, December 7th at 4:30pm.
