Trumbauer (9) and Petersen (2) named All-State for Jamestown
VALLEY CITY, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Seniors Katie Trumbauer and Hunter Petersen of the Jamestown High School volleyball team were named All-State by the North Dakota High School Coaches Association on Monday.
Trumbauer, who made the All-State first team, ended the year as the team leader in assists (368) and service aces (30) during the WDA season for the Blue Jays. Trumbauer also surpassed 1,000 assists for her high school career in the middle of the season and was tied for the sixth most aces in the WDA in 2021.
Petersen, a second-team selection, averaged 9.2 kills per match during her senior campaign. She finished tied for ninth in the WDA with kills on the season, ending the conference year with 167. The southpaw attacker helped the Blue Jays finish 24-13 overall and 14-6 in the WDA.
