BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Seven members of the 11A state champion Blue Jays were named to the All-WDA team as voted on by the coaches.

Thomas Allmer, Devin Beach, Ethan Gall, Adam Kallenbach, Preston Kroeber, Colton Mewes, and Jackson Walters were the seven Blue Jays who were named All-WDA. Allmer scored his only touchdown in his career on a scoop-and-score in the 11A title game. That touchdown ended up being the game-winning score for Jamestown. Beach was a leader in the middle defensively for the Blue Jays, and a factor in the offensive game as well this year. The senior ended the season with 45 tackles and one interception on defense, and 24 receptions for 412 yards, and four scores on offense.

Juniors Gall, Mewes, and Walters all played a major role on the defense for Jamestown during the state championship run. Gall ended the year with 40 total tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. Mewes was the leading tackler in 2021, recording 83 tackles, six sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception. Walters was thrust into the quarterback role in the middle of the year, but he still impacted the defense all year long, recording 64 tackles and recovering a fumble. As a team, the Blue Jays gave up an average of 12 points per game.

Kallenbach and Kroeber, two seniors, were dominant on both sides of the ball en route to All-WDA honors. Kallenbach led Jamestown in total receptions (41) and yards (642) on offense, and interceptions with nine. He accounted for 11 total touchdowns on the season. For Kroeber, he ended the year with 35 catches, 431 yards, and eight touchdowns on offense. Kroeber was fourth on the team in tackles with 57 and had three interceptions.
