VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City High School, Student Council, and surrounding businesses are kicking off OPERATION; END HUNGER 2021.

Coordinator Abby Ingstad said a Bernatello’s truck will be packed full of donations for the Barnes County Food Pantry. She said we are continuing our effort this year because this is the time of year that the food pantry will be putting together baskets for the upcoming holidays. Each grade (7th -12th) will compete against each other by seeing who can bring the most food/monetary items from Nov. 15th – 19th.

The students are collecting non-perishable food times and toiletries. Canned goods, cereal, boxed foods and more. Any or all donations are appreciated. The community collection will be held on Friday, November 19th from 12pm to 3pm in the Hi Liner Activity Center.

If you’re a business in town and would like to partner up to support these efforts contact Abby Ingstad via email (abby.ingstad@k12.nd.us).

Ingstad said all community members, businesses and groups within Barnes County are invited to participate. This is more than just a feel-good project; it’s real, it’s meaningful, and it will impact many families.
