JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown will get back to their normal theatre schedule with the fall musical “Curtains” November 4th, 5th, and 6th.
Theatre Director Mike McIntyre says they’re excited to be back to their normal season after a little different look in 2020.
McIntyre says “Curtains” is a musical comedy whodunit filled with laughs, big dance numbers, and fun story.
The 2007 Broadway musical received eight Tony Award nominations. “Curtains” closed on June 29, 2008 after 511 performances. It was directed by Scott Ellis and choreographed by Rob Ashford, both known for their work on shows including “Cabaret” and “Chicago.”
McIntyre spoke to the dedication not only from the Theatre Department, but other departments and students as well.
Tickets for the musical are $12 for each night. Shows will be at 7:30 PM each evening at the Reiland Fine Arts Center. Tickets are also currently available for the 2021-2022 theatre season at the University of Jamestown for $30, which will give theatre-goers a ticket for the musical, “Lost Girl” on February 10, 11, and 12, “Tartuffe” April 7, 8, and 9, and “An Evening of One-Acts” on April 28th.
