VERMILLION, S.D.– The University of Jamestown women’s golf team is in third place after the first round of the GPAC Fall Championship, being played at The Bluffs Golf Course.

GPAC FALL CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND ONE RESULTS

The Jimmies’ team score of 54-over 342 is three shots behind second-place Briar Cliff (Iowa) and 38 shots behind leader Morningside (Iowa).

Izzy Marchino (SR/Highlands Ranch, Colo.) is tied for eighth at 10-over 82, followed by Jayme Carlson (JR/Hartford, S.D.), tied for 14th at 14-over 86.

Faith Justesen (SO/Hawley, Minn.) and Kyra Vogel (FR/Jamestown, N.D.) are tied for 19th at 15-over 87, and Haley Malone (JR/Moorhead, Minn.) is tied for 36th at 19-over 91.

Sofia Castelan of Morningside is the leader at 2-over 74.

Round two of the GPAC Fall Championship begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday on split tees.
