WYNDMERE, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – #1 LaMoure-Litchville/Marion continued its remarkable start to the season on Friday night on the road as the Loboes knocked off Wyndmere/Lidgerwood 42-12 in 9B football.
After a tightly contested first half that saw the Loboes only lead by 6 at the break, LaMoure would go on to score 30 of the final 36 points in the victory. LLM was able to pound the rock with consistency once again against the Warbirds, with Brady Lettenmaier carrying the ball 20 times for 141 yards and three scores.
Corban Potts finished the day 11-19 through the air for 262 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with Tate Mart and Charlie Bowman for scores. Bowman finished the night as the leading receiver for the Loboes, bringing in three catches for 84 yards. Mart had four catches, including a 52-yard touchdown catch, as well as a strip fumble.
On defense, LaMoure forced four total turnovers led by Bowman who had two interceptions. Colton Ness also had an interception in the win for the Loboes, his sixth of the season. Garrett Hebl was once again the leading tackler for LaMoure, finishing the game with 25 tackles, six solo, and four for loss. Brayden Steffes added 17 more tackles on the defensive side for LaMoure.
The Loboes, now 6-0 on the season, gave up their first points of the year on defense. LaMoure is now outscoring opponents 379-12 on the year and will look to continue its dominant performance next Friday on the road when they take on Hankinson.
