BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – North Dakota Legislators are gathering public input before finalizing the redistricting of legislative districts in the state.
Ellen Chaffee is a member of the North Dakota Votes First board of directors. She and others question the transparency process of the legislative committee.
She talked about how people can participate in watching the redistricting process unfold.
Chaffee favors a proposal that would set up sub-districts in the state. But Republican legislative leaders have not shown any interest in setting up sub-districts. A special legislative session in November will finalize redistricting in North Dakota.
